Buffalo Gal Office Design

Description

The client for this project, a local production company, Buffalo Gal Pictures, was in need of a space that communicated to the public their values, beliefs and style. The concept “Mise-en-Scene” refers to everything that appears before the camera and its arrangement, and can tell story in both visual and artful ways. A scene can be broken down into a series of singular shots, the composition of which can be analyzed based on the foreground, middle ground, and background. This concept was used to guide the design proposal for a new office space for the client.

Stills from films the client had produced were distorted and used throughout the design to communicate the company brand and concept.

This project was completed in partnership with Nicolette Layne and Gillian Herold.
